A founder’s introduction blog post
I have always believed that doing the right thing and doing well in business should not be at odds with one another. The brands and organizations that inspire my passion are those that work tirelessly to make the world a better place. Over the years, I have worked alongside founders who work hard to bring their vision to life. Yet time and time again, I see the same struggle emerge: how to build a financially sound business without losing sight of the mission.
That is why I started Toloache Consulting.
Before founding Toloache, I worked alongside early-stage founders challenging industry and cultural norms across better-for-you CPG brands and 501 (c)(3) organizations. Again and again, I noticed a pattern: these brilliant, creative teams were deeply committed to their mission, but lacked a trusted finance partner who could both guide them and scale with them.
Finance, for many founders, can feel like a necessary burden, a language that wasn’t written for them but is essential to scaling their mission. I wanted to change that. I wanted to build something that combined strategic finance with community and partnership.
At Toloache, we help early-stage, mission-driven companies build the financial foundation to grow with confidence. From financial modeling and forecasting to strategic planning and fundraising support, we meet founders where they are, translating numbers into actionable insight and strategy.
But more than that, we see ourselves as part of their journey. We’re not just consultants; we’re partners who believe in the work our clients are doing and want to see them thrive.
Partnership is at the heart of everything we do. I believe the best outcomes come from founders and finance working together. This is when decisions are made with clarity, curiosity, and courage.
Toloache is named after a medicinal flower found in Northern Mexico, used in traditional rituals of transformation. This serves as a reminder that change is both powerful and possible. That’s what we strive to bring to every client relationship: transformation grounded in purpose.
If you’re building something that’s better for people or the planet, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s build something strong and meaningful together.
