Daniel Sorensen
Daniel Sorensen is the Vice President of Finance at BetterUp, a CPA and retired U.S. Army Reserve Major with over two decades of combined experience in financial leadership and service. His early career spanned public and private companies in manufacturing and professional services, followed by eight years at Propeller Industries, where he led finance teams serving CPG and Technology/SaaS startups.
Daniel’s military tenure—from enlisted Infantryman to Finance Officer coordinating budgets with the Pentagon, FEMA, and the State Department—instilled a disciplined, mission-driven approach to leadership. He holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys motorcycling, hiking, camping, running, and spending time with his family and dogs.
